ABC soap fans were overly excited to see former All My Children heartthrob Justin Bruening show up to the set of General Hospital to catch up with his wife, Alexa Havins. Now, everyone is crossing their fingers that this visit could lead to the start of something new.
Bruening posted the photos on Instagram for fans, captioning the first photo, “I’m lost….Can someone point me in the direction of a good hospital?”
Bruening then included a photo with his wife, captioning the pic, “Oh! Here’s someone! Lulu, you say? Hmmm….That’s weird…you look familiar. Have we met?” In a follow-up photo, Bruening added, “You’re cute….. What are you going to do with the rest of your life? I’m thinking……… 4 kids? House in the burbs? 1,001 pets?”
Fans immediately started clamoring for the actor to join the cast of General Hospital. “Ooh, any chance we’re getting a cameo? Tell Alexa she’s my fave on the show ?,” wrote one fan in the comment section. Fans on X began wishful-casting the actor in the role of Dillon Quartermaine.
“Make Justin Bruening a Dillon Quartermaine recast!” wrote one fan, with the “I would like to see it,” gif attached.

Dillon has long ties to the canvas; not only is he a Quartermaine, one of the legacy families on the soap opera, but as a teenager, he was romantically involved with Lulu Spencer as well, so Bruening could potentially be paired opposite his wife at work.
Bruening portrayed the role of Jamie Martin on the ABC soap opera All My Children off and on from 2003 until the series cancellation in 2011.
Since leaving the Agnes Nixon soap opera, Bruening has appeared in numerous prime time roles, including Ravenswood, Good Behavior, Grey’s Anatomy, and, most recently, Sweet Magnolias. According to IMDb, he currently has another project in the works, The Other Side of the Window, which is currently in post-production.
General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC and streams weeknights on Hulu and Disney+.
