Minaj re-posted a clip that White House Communications Director Steven Cheung shared on Sunday with the caption, “Ladies and gentlemen, I think we may have found the new White House Press Secretary! @NICKIMINAJ.”
Although the statement doesn’t seem serious, the administration is still searching for someone to fill the role. Former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt left the job in August to spend more time with her two young children, two-year-old Niko and six-month-old Vivi.
Following Leavitt’s resignation, Trump appointed Katie Zacharia to the position. But after only a few brief, controversy-filled days, she was asked to leave on October 16.

He’s worked his way out of, you know, not having a dollar left in the bank. So if he can do that for himself and his own finances, surely he knows what to do with the country. You know, he’s very tough. He’s tough internationally. He tells them what we need, not what they need.

Critics slammed Minaj’s comments on X, responding to her post with, “You are going to regret your ties to the President in 3-4 years. I promise,” “Trump’s administration is already a monstrous joke,” and “You’re so problematic.
