With FCS football passing the midpoint of the season, four teams have perfect records. Here’s a breakdown of what remains for Lehigh, Stephen F. Austin, Tarleton State and Harvard.
Four teams have made it into the second half of the FCS regular season without a loss, but how likely is it any of them would get through the schedule with a perfect record?
It’s certainly possible given at least one FCS team has gone unbeaten in the regular season in every full fall season (not 2020) since 2013. That includes Lehigh last year, and the Patriot League power is again one of the four unbeatens along with Stephen F. Austin and Tarleton State, which like the Mountain Hawks are both 6-0, and Harvard, which is 4-0 due to the Ivy League’s later start to the season.
All four nationally ranked teams will play a game in each of the final six weeks of the regular season. Following are their remaining schedules, as well as the Opta predictive model’s win-out probability from thousands of season simulations.
FCS unbeaten teams:Lehigh (6-0)Stephen F. Austin (6-0)Tarleton State (6-0)Harvard (4-0)Teams with only an FBS loss:Campbell (5-1)Lamar (5-1)Morgan State (5-1)South Dakota State (5-1)

Remaining Opponents: Central Arkansas, at West Georgia, Eastern Kentucky, Abilene Christian, at West Florida, at North Alabama
Remaining Opponents’ Combined Record: 15-21 (.417)
Opta Win-Out Percentage: 49.2%
Notable: The Texans’ next four opponents are below .500, although they include nemesis Abilene Christian, which has won the last two and four of their five meetings this decade.
Lehigh (6-0)
Remaining Opponents: at Cornell, at Villanova, Bucknell, Colgate, at Richmond, at Lafayette
Remaining Opponents’ Combined Record: 15-19 (.441)
Opta Win-Out Percentage: 46.0%
Notable: Lehigh’s nine straight road wins represent the active high in the FCS, and that’s particularly important with four of its final six regular-season games on the road.
Stephen F. Austin (6-0)
Remaining Opponents: at Nicholls, Southeastern Louisiana, Houston Christian, at Lamar, at UTRGV, Northwestern State
Remaining Opponents’ Combined Record: 16-20 (.444)
Opta Win-Out Percentage: 25.9%
Notable: This season marks the defending Southland champion’s best start since 1995. Northwestern State being 0-6 drags down the opponents’ combined record.
Harvard (4-0)
Remaining Opponents: Holy Cross, Princeton, at Dartmouth, Columbia, at Penn, Yale (Fenway Park)
Remaining Opponents’ Combined Record: 14-12 (.538)
Opta Win-Out Percentage: 18.5%
Notable: The Crimson have been here a number of times, including 4-0 starts in 2021, ’23 and ’25. They got to 9-0 last year before falling to rival Yale for the fourth straight season.
