Major street closures will begin this week for the 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
The race, which which winds its way through more than two dozen Chicago neighborhoods, takes place Sunday, Oct. 11.
As of Monday, one street closure–Balbo Drive from Columbus to DuSable Lake Shore Drive– was already in place, and will remain closed until the Friday after the event. More street closures will begin starting at 4 a.m.
