Anders Koschmann from Superior, Colorado has announced his commitment to continue his academic and athletic careers at Northwestern beginning in fall 2028.

Koschmann swims for Riptide Swim Team and had a strong showing at Futures in Madison as he was 2nd in the 200 back (2:03.60) and 8th in the 100 back (57.75). His 200 back was a lifetime best while he was slightly faster in prelims of the 100 back with a lifetime best 57.10.
Back in March, he made numerous finals at Four Corners Sectionals. He finished 8th in the 200 back with a lifetime best 1:47.47 and was 16th in the 100 back in a 49.62. Koschmann will be a 3rd generation Big Ten swimmer as his grandfather swam at Minnesota and his mother swam at Wisconsin.
Koschmann’s Best SCY Times Are:
100 back: 49.41 200 back: 1:47.47The Northwestern men finished 4th out of nine teams at the 2026 Big Ten Championships as they scored 840 points. Stuart Seymour led the team with 79 individual points.
Based on his best times, Koschmann would have been 5th on the roster this past season in the 200 back. It took a 46.54 100 back and a 1:43.99 200 back to final at Big Tens. Oli Kos led the team with a 1:39.32 200 back. David Gerchik was also sub-1:40 in the 200 back with a 1:39.47.
Koschmann is the first public commitment on the boys side for Northwestern’s class of 2032.
