Wyatt Boland of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania has announced his verbal commitment to continue his academic and athletic career at Drexel University.
“I’m beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue both my academic and athletic career at the Division I level at Drexel University! I want to sincerely thank Coach Lavery and the entire Drexel coaching staff for believing in me and giving me this incredible opportunity to become part of the Dragon family. I’m also so grateful to CVAC and CV Swim&Dive for everything they’ve done to help shape me into the athlete and person I am today. Most importantly, thanks to my family for always being my biggest supporters, pushing me to grow, and standing by me through every challenge along the way. None of this would be possible without you. I feel incredibly blessed and honored to continue my journey with such an amazing program, and I can’t wait to represent the Dragons at the next level. GO DRAGONS!! ”
Boland swims for the Cumberland Valley Aquatic Club and Cumberland Valley High School. This past March, he swam to a 3rd place finish in the 50 free with a lifetime best 20.32 at the PIAA 3A State Championship. He also was 7th in the 100 free with a 45.71. He split a 44.41 anchor leg on the team’s 400 free relay that finished 5th.
He swam at Sectionals in St. Mary’s City at the end of March and was 3rd in the 50 free (20.88), 2nd in the 100 free (45.81), and swam a lifetime best 23.50 50 fly in prelims for 2oth before swimming a 23.55 for 21st in finals.
Boland’s Best SCY Times Are:
50 free: 20.32 100 free: 45.61 200 free: 1:42.63The Drexel men finished 3rd out of five teams at the 2026 Coastal Athletic Association Championships with 667.5 points. Theodoros Andreopoulos led the team as he won the 50 free (19.60), 100 back (46.83), and 200 back (1:42.00).
Based on his best times, Boland already has the potential to make an impact at the conference level as his best time in the 50 free would already make the ‘B’ final. He is just a tenth off what it took to final in the 100 free as it took a 45.51 for a second swim. Drexel had three ‘A’ finalists in both the 50 and 100 freestyles.
Boland will arrive next fall as a member of the class of 2031.
