The report also said Bhatia claimed he could provide similar information during IPL 2026 if his source was picked by CSK at the auction. He reportedly quoted ₹1 crore and claimed a 90% guarantee. But the player was not picked.
Vansh Bedi Denies Links to CSK Allegations
The Tehelka report did not name the CSK player allegedly involved. However, social media speculation linked Delhi wicketkeeper-batter Vansh Bedi to the claims because he was part of CSK's 2025 squad and represented Central Delhi Kings in the DPL.
“I categorically state that I am not the individual referred to by ex-Ranji Trophy cricketer Rachit Bhatia in the Tehelka Sting Operation concerning alleged match-fixing involving a CSK player, nor do I have involvement in any such activity,” Bedi wrote on Instagram.
The allegations have revived memories of CSK's previous IPL suspension. In 2015, CSK and Rajasthan Royals were suspended for two seasons following the betting scandal involving CSK team official Gurunath Meiyappan and former Rajasthan Royals co-owner Raj Kundra.
