Brunelle Bouillenne-Duchenne from Nice, France has announced her commitment to continue her academic and athletic careers at Fordham beginning in fall 2027.

I’m incredibly thankful to my family, my coach @thibaultsaccheri , my advisor @la4college , and my friends for supporting me throughout this journey. Bouillenne-Duchenne swims for Olympic Nice Natation. She had a strong showing back in June at French Nationals, going best times in both of her events. She made the ‘B’ final of both events touched in the 200 breast in a 2:35.74 and in the 100 breast in a 1:11.98. Her 200 breast was a two second drop.
She was named to the French Sports Ministry’s list of promising high-level athletes in 2023. She is interested in studying political science and international relations.

Hayley Clark and Karina Kanary led the team with 44 individual points each. Clark notably swam to a A-10 title in the 200 fly with a 1:58.19.
Based on her best converted times, Bouillenne-Duchenne is a huge addition for Fordham’s breaststroke group. Her 100 breast would have been 7th while her 200 breast would have been 8th at the A-10 Championships. Alexa Lundell was the team’s highest finisher with a 1:03.11 in the 100 breast while Karina Kanary led the team with a 2:15.99 200 breast at A-10s.
Bouillenne-Duchenne will arrive next fall as a member of the class of 2031 along with Alera Hurwitz (free/fly), Sophia Williamson (free/fly), and Sadie Davidoff (distance free).
