Despite calling the Windy City home, Kraft Heinz CEO Steve Cahillane said he still puts ketchup on hot dogs.
Scrambled eggs, fried rice and even hot dogs were all foods Cahillane would put ketchup on, he told NBC News’ Vicky Nguyen in a recent interview.
“Even as a Chicago guy you say that?” Nguyen asked him, to which he responded, “Even as a Chicago guy, because I’m originally from New York.”
There was one food Cahillane said he wouldn’t put the sugary tomato condiment on, and it’s a combo that’s known to be fairly polarizing: ketchup on Kraft macaroni and cheese.
When asked, Cahillane, who became CEO of Kraft Heinz in January of this year, said “Probably not, maybe not Kraft mac and cheese.”
