The family of a man killed on a Chicago Transit Authority Red Line train pleaded for anyone with information to come forward as they continue to search for answers about his death.
Kyle Bickham, 29, died after being pushed from a CTA Red Line train near the 69th Street Red Line station on Monday.
Bickham struck the electrified third rail, became incapacitated and was later hit by a moving train. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His mother, LaTanya Bickham, said she is seeking answers from the CTA.
“I’d like to understand what’s going on with CTA,” she said. “How it was so easy to have that door open in the middle of a ride and my son be thrown off the train.”
A 15-year-old girl was charged with first-degree murder and is expected to appear in court on Monday.
Bickham’s family said they believe others know more about what happened and is urging them to come forward.
