OGDEN, N.Y. — Five people were brought to the URMC Trauma Center after a two-car crash in Ogden Monday afternoon.
It happened just before 1:30 p.m. on South Union Street and Stony Point Road. The Spencerport Fire District says three people were trapped in one car, and two were trapped in a second car when firefighters first got there.
All five were rescued and brought to the Trauma Center. According to Ogden Police, one of them, an 88-year-old woman from Chili, is currently listed in critical condition. They say the remaining four are expected to be released.
Police are continuing to investigate the crash, and say drug and alcohol involvement have been ruled out at this time, and failure to yield the right of way seems to be a primary contributing factor.
