ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The region is still cleaning up on Friday after Wednesday’s severe storms, which led to five confirmed tornadoes, widespread power outages, and downed trees and power lines.
The National Weather Service surveyed the damage and confirmed reports of tornadoes in Seneca, Niagara, Genesee, and Orleans counties for Wednesday evening. Here’s where the tornadoes touched down:

Thousands still without power, mostly in Seneca County
More than 80,000 homes or businesses had lost power at one point. As of Friday morning, over 2,500 NYSEG customers in Seneca County, mostly in Waterloo, are still without power.
