Bronco Test: Players must complete a 1,200-metre high-intensity shuttle run. It includes five rounds of 20m, 40m and 60m sprints. The target time is between 5 minutes 15 seconds and 5 minutes 20 seconds. The test checks a player’s endurance, speed and agility.
Yo-Yo Test: This test checks a player’s stamina and aerobic fitness, and they need at least 16.5 to pass.
Fitness tests under scanner after India’s injury crisis
The injury problems also affected India’s team combination, with captain Shubman Gill admitting that player unavailability created a major selection headache during the third and final ODI against England. It is being said that some senior players were reportedly given easier fitness targets than other players, raising concerns over the credibility of these tests.
