The Bluey Movie, which is set for release on 6 August 2027, revealed its first trailer at D23, showing Bluey and Bingo playing with a red balloon - before accidentally letting it touch the ground, and scooting on out of there.
Some are loving Bluey's new look, with one fan writing on X (formerly Twitter): "MY GIRLS!! the #bluey movie looks so good, i'm impressed with the way they translated their 2D designs."
Others aren't convinced, with one more user writing: "The animation on the Bluey is so well-done and gorgeous that this will go down as one of the dumbest creative decisions in history. There’s no reason for Bluey to be 3D."
View oEmbed on the source websiteThe film will be written and directed by series creator Joe Brumm, who previously said of the movie: "I really enjoyed the experience of working with a longer format on The Sign in Series 3, so going even further with a feature film feels like a natural extension of that.
Voice talent from the series including Melanie Zanetti and David McCormack will be featured and the score will be created by Joff Bush, who is also the composer on the series.
The Bluey Movie will be in cinemas from 6 August 2027.
