Central Command released photos Monday of flight operations aboard the San Diego-based USS Boxer amid renewed U.S. air strikes in the Middle East.
The amphibious assault ship is patrolling in the Arabian Sea as CENTCOM enforces the naval blockade against Iran.
The photos showed helicopters and F-35B stealth jets taking off day and night.
Since the blockade resumed last Tuesday, the Navy has redirected seven commercial vessels and disabled one to prevent the ships from leaving or entering Iranian ports.
On Sunday night, CENTCOM announced the completion of the ninth consecutive evening of air strikes strikes against military targets in Iran.
The Boxer and accompanying amphibious transport dock USS Portland entered the region on June 30, joining the dock landing ship USS Comstock. The three warships had left San Diego in March.
The ships in the amphibious ready group are carrying the Camp Pendleton-based 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
