July 5-9, 2026 Montreal, Canada — Montreal Olympic Pool LCM (50 Meters) Meet Central Pan Pacific Championships Selection Criteria Psych Sheet Live Results How To Watch Recaps: Prelims: Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 Finals: Day 1 | Day 2While the Commonwealth Games roster was already announced, this week’s Canadian Swimming Trials is the official selection meet for the 2026 Pan Pac Championships.
The priority for selection, in simple terms is as as follows:
A Finals event winners Fastest four eligible in the men’s and women’s 100 and 200 freestyles Swimmers who have hit the World Aquatics “A” standard this week will be put into the 2025 World Rankings and added to the team until 24 women and 24 men are chosen If spots remain, 2nd place finishers will be ranked based on proximity to the World Aquatics “A” standard and added to the team until the roster hits 24 women and 24 men. There is also an “unforeseen circumstances” clause that allows the Selection Committee to change the roster as they see fit.
For now, we’ll track priorities 1, 2, and 3; if priority 4 looks like it will be relevant, we’ll start tracking those World Rankings later in the meet as well.
Among the additions to the roster on day 2 is 16-year-old Reina Liu, who is trained in the United States in North Carolina but has chosen to represent Canada internationally. This will be her first senior international appointment for Canada after representing the country at Junior Pan Pacs last year.
Several other American-trained swimmers joined the party on Day 2, including Lorne Wigginton with his Canadian Record in the 400 IM (Michigan), Ruslan Gaziev (Ohio State), and possibly Tristan Jankovics (also Ohio State).
