This came during his chairmanship of the regular meeting of the governorate’s executive council, attended by members of parliament, security and executive leaders, and representatives from Aswan University.
The meeting reviewed current efforts to combat the phenomenon and discussed ways to develop these efforts based on scientific and humanitarian principles.

The governor called for intensifying campaigns to collect stray dogs and place them in the shelter currently under construction.
This aims to strike a balance between protecting citizens and preserving animal rights.
Lashin also emphasized the importance of coordination between the Veterinary Directorate and the Veterinarians Syndicate to support field teams and improve performance efficiency.
The governor also instructed the Directorate of Health Affairs to intensify public awareness campaigns on how to respond to animal bites, emphasizing the importance of promptly seeking treatment at specialized centers.
The governorate has nine efficient animal bite treatment centers, fully stocked with the necessary serums and vaccines.
Lashin also ordered coordination with Aswan University to establish a new animal bite treatment center within the university hospital, aiming to expand service coverage and ensure a rapid response to emergencies.
