Chicago police are searching for a suspect accused of sexually abusing a girl in the city’s West Chatham neighborhood, police said.
The incident was reported at around 7:40 p.m. on Saturday along West 87th Street near South Lafayette Avenue. Police said the suspect, who they described as an unknown man, used his bare hand to sexually abuse the 6-year-old. Authorities allege the man faked a fall to grab the young girl.
The girl was with her mother at the time, police said.
