The darts-themed TV show originally aired throughout the '80s on ITV before being revived once more in 2006, with Dave Spikey previously as host. Though Jim Bowen was at the helm during its initial run.
On the announcement of the Christmas special, Flintoff said at the time: "I love the darts, and Bullseye was one of my favourite shows as a kid. Can't quite believe I'll get to host this Christmas special. You can't beat a bit of Bully!"

The series was recently on screens for a Soccer Aid special, which saw the likes of Mark Wright, Olly Murs, Kym Marsh and her sister-in-law Claire Marsh, and comedians Angela Barnes and Jon Richardson all take part.
