The Building Owners and Managers Association of Chicago Foundation has launched a new Skyline Lighting Raffle, inviting participants to purchase tickets for a chance to design a custom lighting display across the downtown skyline next year.
According to BOMA, the winner will work with the association to create a “meaningful lighting campaign,” whether to celebrate a personal milestone, honor a loved one, raise awareness for a cause or highlight a favorite color.
Through its Illuminate Chicago program, BOMA/Chicago coordinates lighting across downtown buildings to showcase civic and philanthropic initiatives, according to a news release. The special opportunity marks BOMA’s 125th anniversary, which is in 2027.
The winner will choose “meaningful date” for their lighting campaign, which will light up participating downtown buildings over a three- to seven-day period. The experience also includes a professional photoshoot by iconic Chicago photographer Barry Butler.
The raffle is live now through Aug. 21. Tickets are $25 each, and can be purchased here.
The winner will be randomly selected on Aug. 28.
Proceeds from the raffle benefit the BOMA/Chicago Foundation’s support of scholarships, education programs and workforce development in the commercial real estate industry.
