The new flavor collaboration is the first act in Sour Patch Kids’ “13 Days of Mischief” leading up to Halloween. Lauryn McDonough, senior director of candy at Mondelēz International, says it’s just the kind of unexpected mischief fans of Sour Patch Kids love. “For the Sour Patch Kids brand, Halloween usually means owning the candy bowl,” McDonough said. “This year, the Sour Patch Kids brand decided candy wasn’t enough.”
The Halloween-inspired wing sauce hits Wingstop menus on Oct. 23, when Club Wingstop members will get exclusive early access to the new variety. On Oct. 27, the flavor rolls out to participating Wingstop locations nationwide, where all customers can get in on the sweet-and-sour fun.
