2026 COMMONWEALTH GAMES

July 24th – July 20th (pool swimminger) Tollcross International Swimming Centre LCM

Swim England has revealed its 42-strong swimming pool rosters for the 2026 Commonwealth Games, headed to Glasgow, Scotland, in July. The squad is comprised of 28 Olympic and 14 para swimmers, with the nation hoping to improve upon its 32-medal haul from the 2022 edition of the Games, which took place in Birmingham.

Despite not having competed at this year’s Aquatics GB Championships, 2020 Olympic Games champion Tom Dean indeed made the squad, with the 26-year-old seeking to upgrade his trio of silvers earned across the men’s 100m free, 200m free and 200m IM from four years ago.

He’s joined by Olympic medalist teammate James Guy, the man who took home 100m fly silver, 200m fly bronze and multiple relay medals in Birmingham.

Glasgow will mark an impressive fourth Commonwealth Games appearance for the recently-married Adam Ramsay-Peaty, with the Olympic champion having already collected seven medals, including four golds, spanning his Games career.

Freya Colbert is heading to her second Games, fresh off breaking her own British record in the 200m free last month in London. The 22-year-old will be chasing her first individual Commonwealth Games hardware, following in the footsteps of Birmingham individual medalists Imogen Clark and Abbie Wood, who were also named to the lineup.

Swim England Head of Sport and the Team England Team Leader for Swimming and Para-Swimming, Richard Blackshaw, said: “The swimming team is immensely proud and excited to have the opportunity to represent Team England and the English swimming community at the Commonwealth Games, an honour that does not come around often for athletes.

“What makes this team particularly special is its fully integrated nature, bringing together Para and Olympic pathway athletes to compete as one unified group, reflecting the very best of inclusivity and shared ambition.

“United by a common goal, the team is determined to represent Team England with distinction this summer, both in and out of the pool, and to showcase the strength, resilience and talent within English swimming.”

Team England Chef de Mission, Jonathon Riall, said: “It’s brilliant to be able to announce such a strong swimming squad for Glasgow 2026.

“We have a number of returning Commonwealth champions and true stars of the sport, alongside some new faces who are set to make their mark this summer.”
