“I don’t think it’s coming out in June, but that second week in May has been our target the last few years, but I don’t know that it’s impossible to think about that third week in May,” Mike North, NFL VP of Broadcast Planning, said in a recent “It’s Always Game Day in Buffalo” podcast interview.
According to Pro Football Talk, part of the uncertainty over the schedule release involves the NFL trying to sell a five-game package to a broadcaster, including a game in Australia between the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers in Week 1.
Who are the Bears’ opponents this season?
The Bears have plenty of interesting games both at home and on the road next season, as they’ll (likely) welcome the AFC South champion Jaguars, the AFC East champion Patriots, and the NFC East champion Eagles to Soldier Field.
The Bears will also have to hit the road to take on the NFC South-champion Panthers and the reigning Super Bowl champion Seahawks, as well as the Buffalo Bills, who are opening their new stadium for the 2026 campaign.

One game to keep an eye on will be the Madrid game, as the Bears have international marketing rights in Spain and do have a road game against the Falcons on their schedule next season.

Finally, the Bears could conceivably get a primetime game early in the season, as there is a possibility they could play the Seahawks in the season-opening game in the Pacific Northwest.
