The book, which was described as "not your typical rock memoir,” focuses on his journey on and off the stage, especially his health battle in the early 2000s that forced his music career to pause.

So it was kind of like a fluke situation. If that lady had never knocked on my door to sell my house, I probably would have died and never seen it coming because I had a tumor in my chest that was the size of a squash. It was growing off my heart and pushing on my lungs, which is why I couldn’t breathe. I didn’t have any space in there for my lungs to expand.”
A year into treatment and recovery, he was declared cancer-free in 2002.
