Pfaadt made a special gesture to wear pink shoelaces on his black Adidas cleats against the Philadelphia Phillies to reveal his brother’s child would be a girl.
The pitcher worked together with his brother, Brett, to come up with a fun idea for a reveal, and the shoelaces is where they landed.

However, the third inning went downhill for Pfaadt. Alec Bohm reached on an error to lead off the inning, and Justin Crawford followed with a single through the left side of the infield.

The 27-year-old had started the season rough with eight earned runs across 10.2 innings in his first two starts, with five combined strikeouts and three walks.
Pfaadt has worked his way up to from 79 pitches to 85 and then 101 on Saturday and has completed six innings in two straight starts.
