2026 Four Corner Speedo Sectionals – Carmel –

March 26-29, 2026 Carmel High School, Carmel, IN SCY (25 yards) Results (on MeetMobile) Day 1 Recap

Day 2 of the 2026 Four Corner Sectional meet in Carmel, IN featured the 100 back, 200 free, and 400 IM, as well as the 400 free relay.

After a huge performance in the 200 breast on day 1 of the meet, Carmel Swim Club 16-year-old Yi Zheng was incredible in the men’s 400 IM on day 2. Zheng clocked a 3:40.69, marking a new career best in the event by a little over a second. Though he dropped 1.2 seconds, Zheng remains the #3 performer all-time in the 15-16 boys age group in the event.

Zheng was great all around on Friday night, splitting 48.84 on fly, 56.93 on back, 1:01.81 on breast, and 53.11 on free. Carmel teammate Trent Allen (17) had a big swim as well, taking 2nd with a 3:46.20. Allen entered the meet with a personal best of 3:52.39, then he clocked a 3:46.39 in prelims before lowering his mark again in finals.

Ellie Clarke, another Carmel swimmer, was the only double event winner on the day, winning both the women’s 100 back and 400 IM. Clarke, 16, first won the women’s 100 back with a 52.16. That performance marked a new career best, chipping 0.36 seconds off her previous mark. Clarke then went on to put up a spectacular performance in the 400 IM, swimming a 4:06.77 to finish 1st by almost 11 seconds. It was a massive performance for Clarke, who entered the meet with a career best of 4:11.71. She was out fast, splitting 54.94 on fly and 59.96 on back for a 1:54.90 on the opening 200. She then tacked on a 1:16.50 breast split and a 55.37 free split.

After winning the women’s 100 free on Thursday, Club Wolverine 17-year-old Adrienne Schadler took the 200 free on Friday. Schadler posted a 1:45.61, touching 1st by a little over a second. The swim was a new career best for Schadler by more than a second, as she entered the meet with a 1:46.85. She was out quick, splitting 51.12 on the opening 100, then coming home in 54.49 on the back half.

Schadler was also critical in Club Wolverine’s win in the women’s 400 free relay. The CW ‘A’ squad of Cecilia Walusek (50.65), Kia Alert (49.99), Kate Van Ryn (49.82), and Schadler (49.01) combined for a 3:19.47, narrowly beating out the Carmel Swim Club “A’ team, which came in 2nd with a 3:19.70. Carmel’s relay saw Clarke (49.32), Molly Sweeney (49.36), Kate Allen (50.08), and Leah Debosch (50.94) combine for them. Schadler’s anchor leg was what allowed CW to catch and ultimately beat Carmel’s team.

NC State’s Gavin Keogh, 18, won the men’s 100 back on Friday night. Keogh, who didn’t make the Wolfpack NCAA squad, popped a 46.79 to win the race by nearly a full second. He holds a career best of 46.28, which he swam last March at a Sectional in Austin, TX.

Carmel Swim Club’s Carter Hadley, 18, took the men’s 200 free in 1:35.58. Hadley entered the meet with a personal best of 1:38.42, marking an improvement of 2.84 seconds on the day. He swam a consistent race, splitting 21.92 on the opening 50, then splitting 24.13, 24.84, and 24.69 respectively the rest of the way.

In the men’s 400 free relay, Mesa Aquatics Club’s ‘A’ team of Devin Irons (45.30), Gavin Willyerd (44.17), Mark Heffern (45.43), and Jason Sugihara (42.63) combined for a 2:57.53, winning the race by over a second.
