WEBSTER, N.Y. — Webster Comfort Care Home held its first ever meat raffle fundraiser on Saturday night.
The home provides hospice-based care to its residents for free. Webster Comfort Care Home is supported through donations and fundraisers.
An emcee spun a large wheel and announced the winning numbers for people to take their meat home.
The executive director said the turnout was much better than she expected it to be. They were worried after selling 50 tickets a week ago, but as of tonight that number tripled to 150.
