President Donald Trump has offered his support to Jake Paul should the social media influencer-turned-boxer ever decide to seek public office.
“I just want to say: I’m going to make a prediction that [Jake], in the not-too-distant future, will be running for political office,” Trump, 79, said during a speech alongside Paul, 29, in Hebron, Kentucky, on Wednesday, March 11. “You have my complete and total endorsement, OK? That’s what we want, he’s an incredible guy.”
The two appeared together at Verst Logistics, a packaging facility, in Hebron, where Trump took a shot at his former 2024 presidential election opponent Kamala Harris.
“I didn’t ask Jake who he voted for but I don’t think it was Kamala,” Trump claimed. “I think your whole reputation would be shot. That would be the end of your whole career, Jake.”

Elsewhere in his speech, Trump hailed Paul as a “courageous” and “talented guy” while taking up his 12-2-0 professional boxing record.
“He’s a hell of a fighter too,” Trump quipped.
Paul offered his unwavering support for Trump during the rally, telling the crowd, “God’s got us, Trump’s got us, god bless. Love you, Kentucky.”
“What Mr. Trump has taught me is courage. We never back down from a fight, even if they’re much bigger than you,” he added. “And I feel all the local Kentuckians feel the same.”
Paul has been a supporter of the president for sometime, endorsing then-candidate Trump in the leadup to the 2024 presidential election. In an October 2024 video, Paul claimed that a vote for Trump might “literally save America.”

Because that is his job and that’s what’s going to affect the people of this nation.”
Paul has occasionally waded into controversial political topics in the past few years. He drew a swift backlash for calling Super Bowl LX headliner Bad Bunny “a fake American citizen” who “publicly hates America” in February. (Bad Bunny was born in the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico and is an American citizen. Jake lives primarily in Puerto Rico.)
Jake’s own brother Logan Paul condemned his remarks, making it clear via social media that he didn’t “agree” with his brother’s criticism of Bad Bunny (real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio).
“Puerto Ricans are Americans & I’m happy they were given the opportunity to showcase the talent that comes from the island,” Logan, 30, tweeted after the Super XL halftime show on February 8.

Jake later seemingly back-tracked on his statement, claiming he was not “calling anyone a ‘fake citizen’ because they’re from Puerto Rico.”
“I live in Puerto Rico, and I love Puerto Rico,” Jake tweeted on February 9. “I have used my platform to support Puerto Rico time and time again and will always do so.”
The boxer added, “But if you’re publicly criticizing ICE who are doing their job and openly hating on America, I’m going to speak on it. Period. That’s the same reason I called out Hunter Hess. If you benefit from a country and the platform it gives you, but publicly disrespect it at the same time, that’s what I mean by being a fake citizen. And I agree love is more powerful than hate. Love America.”
