Many notable names and prominent figures will come together Friday in Chicago to honor the life and legacy of Civil Rights icon Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr.
The homegoing services are expected to see appearances by former presidents, gospel legends and other political figures and performers.
Dubbed “The People’s Celebration,” services are set to begin Friday morning at Chicago’s House of Hope, located at 752 E. 114th St.
Doors opened at 9 a.m., with the service scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
NBC Chicago will livestream the funeral on Friday, and it will also be aired on NBC Chicago’s 24/7 Streaming News service. (Watch live in the player above)
