OAKLAND — Police here have identified a man who was shot and killed inside of a cellphone repair store in what appeared to investigators to be a targeted shooting.
Jimmy Mullins, 26, was shot and killed around 6:45 p.m. on Feb. 11, while sitting on a couch inside the store, on the 9800 block of International Boulevard in Oakland, police said. No arrests have been announced.
Mullins’ killing appeared to have been a targeted act by someone who knew exactly where to find him, police said. He drove to the store with a woman and the two were sitting inside when a man walked in, came right up to Mullins, and shot him multiple times in front of multiple eyewitnesses and security cameras, police said.
Paramedics were called but Mullins died inside the store before they could get there. Police haven’t said if they identified the suspected motive. Mullins’ killer was seen running away after the shooting, authorities said.
