Around 8 p.m., video posted on social media showed a huge police response at the corner of West Roosevelt Road and South Independence Boulevard.
A crashed vehicle could be seen on the northwest corner of the intersection near the sign for Checkers.
Several officers surrounded the vehicle on foot, video showed.
