FMC Aquatics Club’s Anna Pansing has committed to the Brown University women’s program for the fall of 2026.
Pansing hails from Western Springs, Ill., and represents Lyons Township High School. As a senior, Pansing placed 12th in both the 100 and 200 freestyle at the IHSA Girls State Championship. She finished in 52.02 in the 100 free and 1:52.03 in the 200 free. In the prelims, she notched a lifetime best in the 200 free, clocking 1:50.90. She also raced on a pair of relays, leading off the 200 free in a personal best 23.70 in the prelims, later helping lead the relay to a 7th-place finish. She also led off the 8th-place 400 free relay in 52.17.
In November, Pansing raced at the FMC Speedo Grand Challenge (SCY), where she notched her first-ever sub-5:00 500 free, stopping the clock in 4:59.43. She also set her first sub-58 100 butterfly in 58.58. At that meet, Pansing finished 7th in the 500 free and 6th in the 200 free, swimming 1:51.89.
Pansing fastest 100 free came at the NCSA Spring Championships in March, where she finished 2nd in a swimoff, clocking 50.98.

Based on Pansing’s best times, she would have placed 20th in the 200 free, 22nd in the 100 free, and 24th in the 500 at those championships.
Pansing’s range from the 50 to the 500 free is enticing, as she is proficient in all four of those races, and all of them would have scored (50 free would have been 24th). Providing a wide range of options for Brown to use her skill set.
On this season’s Brown roster, Pansing would rank 4th in the 500 free, 7th in the 200 free, 8th in the 100 free, and 10th in the 50 free. Pansing’s addition adds depth to an already well-established sprint/mid-distance free group at Brown.
Outside of senior Morgan Lukinac, who leads the team in the 50 and 100 freestyle, Brown is led by a young group of freestylers, such as sophomore Crystal Yeun (22.68, 49.19, 1:45.87 freestyler), freshman Isabella Dieffenthaller (1:45.39 200 free), and sophomore Natalie Garre (4:43.34 500 free), Pansing fits this new wave well, and should be a potential contributor going forward in the Ivy League.
Pansing joins Nikko Tjahaya, Delaney Schwab, Alegra Teixidor-Salerno, and Claire Bacu in Brown’s 2026 recruiting class.
