Denver police are searching for the driver in a Friday evening hit-and-run that sent two pedestrians to the hospital, according to the agency.
Paramedics took two pedestrians to the hospital with serious injuries after they were hit in a marked crosswalk near East Eighth Avenue and Ash Street at 7:22 p.m. Friday, according to an alert from the Denver Police Department. That intersection is in central Denver’s Hale neighborhood.
The driver, who had not been publicly identified as of Sunday, hit the two while turning onto eastbound Eighth Avenue from southbound Ash Street and fled the scene of the crash, police said in the alert.
The suspect vehicle is described as a black Chevrolet Tahoe and may have damage to the front passenger’s side, according to the alert.
