For The Witcher 3 faithful, you may remember that Zerrikania is referenced multiple times throughout Blood and Wine, with a Zerrikanian Manticore School mentioned.
Supposedly, developers Fool’s Theory are the team tasked with creating such an expansion, the same folks behind The Witcher 1 remake.
There’s also speculation that this rumoured DLC would focus on Ciri taking over from Geralt in some fashion, but of course, this is all hearsay. As for whether it will actually happen, keep on scrolling!
Will there actually be a new Witcher 3 DLC?
The rumours began when Borys Nieśpielak, a well-regarded Polish games industry figure, stated on his podcast said that a new DLC was coming this year for The Witcher 3.
Of course, anyone can come out and say just about anything, but in a follow-up question in a Eurogamer article, Nieśpielak pointed to a quote from a CD Projekt Red earnings call, in which, CFO Piotr Nielubowicz stated "Given our current progress, there is a chance that new content hinted upon in recent calls and reports may see release in the coming year”.

With all this in mind, with so many trusted voices lending the rumours credence, it does seem likely that we may get a new DLC for The Witcher 3 in 2026!
