Known for his roles in shows like The Wire, Luther and Hijack, Idris Elba has been given a knighthood for his charity work with young people.
Alongside his acting career, Elba has launched an anti-knife crime campaign as well as founding the Elba Hope Foundation with his wife Sabrina. The charity carries out its work in the UK, the US and in Africa, "advancing educational and economic opportunities, answering the call to educate, organize, and train youth, working for and with future generations."
On accepting his honour, Elba said: "I receive this honour on behalf of the many young people whose talent, ambition and resilience has driven the work of the Elba Hope Foundation."
Last of the Summer Wine and Keeping Up Appearances writer Roy Clarke has also been knighted, while Thursday Murder Club's Richard Osman and actor Warwick Davies have both been given an OBE, as well as Match of the Day's Gabby Logan and football commentator Clive Tyldesley.
It was a big year for the England women's football team and coach Sarina Wiegman has been lauded accordingly, receiving an honorary Dame title after the Lionesses scooped up their second Euros victory this year.
