Oregon offensive coordinator Will Stein, named the Kentucky Wildcats‘ head coach earlier this month, is pulling double duty with the Ducks gearing up for the game. On Sunday morning, ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported Kentucky is hiring Oregon offensive staffer Parker Fleming as their special teams coordinator and inside receivers coach. Fleming coached at Ohio State, James Madison and Texas State prior to joining the Ducks.

Stein’s offensive track record has Kentucky fans excited for the future. Fleming’s own track record, though, could be concerning for the future of their special teams play. It would be an understatement to say Buckeyes fans were not disappointed when he was fired from the role. With 2 years away from the position to refine his skills, he could be better suited it now than he was when he initially earned the gig in Columbus.
The only remaining open position on the Wildcats’ staff is tight ends coach.
