A group of attackers opened fire in Chicago’s River North neighborhood Sunday, leaving one man dead and three others critically injured.
Chicago police say the shooting occurred near the intersection of North LaSalle and Hubbard at approximately 2:35 a.m. Sunday.
The four victims in the shooting were entering a vehicle when four men approached them on foot, police said. The four men then pulled out weapons and opened fire on the group before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.
One of the victims, a 34-year-old man, was shot multiple times, and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say a 43-year-old man was shot in the back, while a 36-year-old man was shot in the chest. A fourth victim, a 35-year-old man, was shot multiple times.
All three of those men were rushed to area hospitals, where they were all listed in critical condition.
There are currently no suspects in custody, and an investigation remains underway.
