A right knee injury continues to plague Suns guard Grayson Allen, who was ruled out for Friday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

It is the first of back-to-back games at Smoothie King Center for Phoenix, with the second on Saturday.

Allen will now miss at least three straight games with the injury, the latest due to injury management.

His absence total will climb to 12 in a season which he has averaged 16.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.

Allen last played Dec. 14 in a loss to the Los Angeles Lakers and registered 13 points, seven assists and three steals.

Jalen Green remains out with a right hamstring strain that has sidelined the offseason acquisition for all but five quarters of basketball this year. Phoenix (16-13) said Tuesday that Green will be reevaluated in two to three weeks for a possible return in January.

Jordan Goodwin was the only other Suns player on Thursday’s injury report, as he will be available while still donning a face mask for a jaw sprain.

Pelicans injury report vs. Suns

New Orleans forward Herbert Jones was ruled out with a right ankle injury. He suffered the injury on Monday against the Dallas Mavericks in the third quarter and didn’t return, which led to Jones missing Tuesday versus the Cleveland Cavaliers.

He leads the Pelicans in steal rate (1.7) and has averaged 9.8 points in 28 minutes per game.

Dejounte Murray remains out with an Achilles injury he suffered in January of last season. ESPN’s Shams Charania reported before the season that he may return soon after New Year’s Day.

Jordan Poole was listed as questionable with left ankle soreness. He missed Tuesday’s game against the Cavaliers with the same injury. Poole has averaged 17 points in his 12 games this season.

New Orleans (8-23) has won five of its last six games.
