Louisville head coach Jeff Brohm comments on reported links to Michigan job ...Middle East

News by : (SATURDAY DOWN SOUTH) -

Louisville head coach Jeff Brohm led the Cardinals to a 27-22 win over Toledo in the Boca Raton Bowl on Tuesday.

One of the big stories entering the game, though, involved Brohm’s potential future with the Cardinals football program. On Tuesday morning, reports from On3’s Pete Nakos surfaced that Brohm was a “name of interest” for the vacant Michigan job.

Brohm was asked about — and addressed— the reports after the game.

“I don’t speak on other jobs. I’m happy with this one and happy with the victory,” Brohm said, according to WDRB’s Eric Crawford.

Tuesday’s win ended Brohm’s third season with the Cardinals. His record is 28-12, with a 16-8 mark in the ACC. That included an appearance in the 2023 ACC Championship Game against Florida State, the Cardinals’ first in program history.

If Brohm were to take the job to Michigan, it would be his second stint as a Big Ten coach. In six seasons at Purdue, he went 36-34. His final two seasons in 2021 and 2022 saw him lead the Boilermakers to a combined 17 wins, along with the program’s first-ever conference championship appearance.

Brohm’s cumulative record as a head coach at Western Kentucky, Purdue, and Louisville stands at 94-56.
