Earlier today, Erisman dropped three and a half seconds off of her former top time to earn the top seed for the final in 4:39.77. Totaling an 8.75-second drop in the event on the day.

She was still slower than her morning swim by the 200 mark, turning just under a tenth slower than her morning 200 (1:47.65).
The swim now ranks 8th fastest in the 15-16 age group for the event.
From there, Erisman, the Cal commit, turned up the pace, just narrowly going over 28 twice, compared to her morning swim that saw 28-low to 28-mid for the remainder of the race.
The runner-up in the event was 15-year-old Brinkleigh Hansen of Saint Petersburg Aquatics in 4:38.51. This time also marks her fastest ever performance by over four and a half seconds from her best time that she set in the prelims in 4:43.03. The swim moves her up to the 18th-fastest 15-16 performer of all time.
