2025 Zippy Invitational

December 4-7, 2025 Ocasek Natatorium, Akron, OH SCY (25 yards) Competing Teams: Akron, Bowling Green, Cornell, Keiser, PennWest Clarion, Buffalo, Youngstown State “2025 Zippy Invitational” on Meet Mobile

Keiser University sophomore Isaiah Aleksenko is having a breakout sophomore season for the NAIA’s dominant program. At the mid-season Zippy Invitational in Akron, Ohio, he broke a pair of NAIA National Records.

He won both the 100 backstroke (45.65) and 200 IM (1:46.48) at the meet in national records, in addition to wins in the 100 fly (45.93), 200 fly (1:45.36), and swimming on three winning relays.

In the 100 backstroke, he broke his own record that was a 46.12 done at last year’s NAIA National Championship meet by half-a-second. Before that, this was one of the oldest records on the NAIA books, having stood since 2014.

Aleksenko’s drop was split between the two 50s, though his already-tight splitting got even tighter, down to just a four-tenths spread.

That time ranks him 26th among all divisions of college swimming in the United States.

In the 200 IM, he swam 1:46.48, which broke the old NAIA Record of 1:46.76 that was set by Keiser swimmer Alex Kusik in 2024. This isn’t an event he has swum very often in yards: he raced it at one tri meet in early November and one dual meet last season previously.

Aleksenko hails from the Northern Mariana Islands, which he has represented internationally at the Pacific Games. The Northern Mariana Islands are a territory of the United States and do not have their own Olympic Team.

Keiser also picked up a school record from freshman Natalia Janszewska, who split 53.83 on a 400 medley relay leadoff to break a school record of her own.

Both the Keiser men’s and women’s team are the four-time defending NAIA Champions.
