ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Renovations at the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport are complete. The terminal area has been overhauled with redesigned entry, ticketing, and baggage areas to make navigation easier for travelers.
The airport now features an expanded entrance canopy and a new mobile app with real-time parking and flight information.
“This investment highlights the vital role that the airport plays as a connector. A connector to jobs, a connector to commerce, a connector to tourism and economic opportunity,” said Marie Therese Dominguez, commissioner of the New York State Department of Transportation.
Dominguez added, “And thanks to everyone here, the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester Airport is positioned to compete not just on the national stage, but globally.”
The renovations were funded by an $18 million grant from the state.
