Suspect turns himself in for Anaheim hit-and-run ...Middle East

News by : (The Orange County Register) -

A Fullerton man suspected in a hit-and-run collision with a 12-year-old boy on an e-bike in Anaheim turned himself in to authorities on Wednesday, Nov. 26, police said.

The 29-year-old was booked on suspicion of felony hit-and-run, Sgt. Matt Sutter said.

The collision happened at about 8:45 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, at Topeka and North streets.

The boy and the driver ran stop signs and collided, Sutter said.

The car crashed about a block away and the driver and passengers got out and ran away, Sutter said.

The boy suffered a concussion, a broken leg and bruises and scrapes. He has been released from a hospital and was home recuperating, Sutter said.

The car was impounded and investigators found “evidence in the car that suggests DUI might have been a factor,” the sergeant said.
