Police are investigating the stabbing of a 14-year-old boy in Peterborough on Friday as one of three knife-related incidents in the city linked to the Huntingdon train stabbings suspect, with a fourth incident in east London.
Anthony Williams, 32, has been charged with 10 counts of attempted murder, one count of actual bodily harm and one count of possession of a bladed article following the attacks on an LNER train from Doncaster to London on Saturday night, shortly after it left Peterborough station.
He is also charged with another count of attempted murder and possession of a bladed article in connection with an incident at Pontoon Dock DLR station in east London in the early hours of the same day.
Cambridgeshire Police referred itself to the watchdog, the Independent Office for Police Conduct, in relation to the incidents in Peterborough.
The watchdog said it did not meet the criteria for a referral.

7:10pm, Friday: 14-year-old boy stabbed in Peterborough city centre
A teenager was stabbed by a man in Peterborough city centre at 7:10pm on Friday night.
The boy was taken to Peterborough City Hospital with minor injuries and later released.
In a statement, Cambridgeshire Police said: “The offender had left the scene when the call was made and despite a search of the area by officers and a police dog, the offender was not identified.
“A crime was raised and an investigation commenced, with scenes of crime attending.”
7:25pm, Friday: Peterborough barbershop reports man with knife

Cambridgeshire Police said the incident was reported to them at 9:10pm, two hours after the incident.
It said that, by the time of reporting, the man was no longer at the barbershop and had not returned. As a result, the force logged a note of a crime, but did not send officers to the scene.
12:45am, Saturday: Knife attack on east London train

He is charged with a separate count of attempted murder and possessing a bladed article after a person suffered facial injuries in the attack at Pontoon Dock DLR station in Silvertown.
9:25am, Saturday: Peterborough barbershop reports man with knife

“Officers were deployed to the location and arrived within 18 minutes.
“Upon searching the area, officers were unable to locate the man or identify him and a crime was raised.”

He is also accused of the attempted murder of Isaiah Ishmael Idris earlier the same day at a DLR station.
District judge Ken Sheraton remanded Williams into custody to appear at Cambridge Crown Court on December 1.
