CPB Contractors will deliver 40% of the contract as part of the Gateway Connect Joint Venture.
The scope of work includes adding additional traffic lanes to the Gateway Motorway, replacing the Wyampa Road overpass, road upgrades, plus wildlife protection fencing and underpasses.
Jason Spears, CPB Contractors’ managing director, said: “Our team has a strong connection to the community, and we look forward to building on this with training, employment and procurement opportunities for local people and businesses.”
Juan Santamaría, Cimic’s group executive chairman, said: “This upgrade will enhance safety, reduce congestion, and futureproof the corridor against climate and population pressures – delivering long-term value for Queenslanders.”
The project is the first of two upgrade stages for the Gateway Motorway and the Bruce Highway in North Brisbane. Construction will begin following completion of detailed design work.
