"Joyful, expressive spaces are timeless when they reflect the homeowner’s personality and not just a color trend," she explains, adding that she often encourages clients to use bold colors in their homes, as long as it feels authentic to them.

Interior designer Stacey Martin of The Freshmaker agrees that café core has legs beyond 2025. "We’ve been adding inspired breakfast nooks into many of our projects lately, and for good reason," she tells Parade exclusively. "Starting your day sipping craft coffee at a marble bistro table will forever feel chic."

"This will always endure," adds Kamal. "Timeless neutrals, layered textures, and thoughtful lighting never go out of style."

"We see it evolving into a more curated, modern nostalgia," Kamal says of grandmacore. "This is one of my personal favorites because you can create a layered, collected home with story and soul, gathering really unique pieces that have meaning and act as a piece of art while still having relevance."

Even though both Kamal and Button expect the aforementioned five trends to endure in 2026, they both have predictions for what will new trends will emerge next year.

Similarly, Button believes a major trend in 2026 will be "organic calm," which she says involves creamy whites and mixed color woods.
