ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Most of this past week has been unseasonably cool and this trend is likely to continue through the end of the month. It has been cold enough that lake effect rain showers have been off and on the last few days. However, as a ridge of high-pressure builds across the Great Lakes, it appears it will be a return to dry weather to end to the weekend.
Tonight, look for a few lingering lake showers with mostly cloudy skies. The low temperature should be near 40 degrees, but some communities south of Rochester will fall into the upper 30s. Sunday may feature a few lingering lake clouds for the morning, then skies will become mostly sunny for the afternoon. Most of the day will be spent in the 40s. Monday skies will once again become partly to mostly sunny with a high temperature near 50 degrees.
An early look at Halloween evening shows the chance of a few rain showers and the temperature falling through the 40s.
