He left last week’s game versus Texas with a chest injury — an ailment that led UK’s medical staff to take a mid-game hospital — before returning to action just before the end of regulation.

McGowan recorded a team-high 7 receptions and 68 yards against the Longhorns. He’s averaging a team-best 5.1 yards per carry (min. 10 carries) this year.
Kentucky’s offense has spent most of the season stuck in neutral. Redshirt freshman quarterback Cutter Boley has played solid football since stepping into the starting lineup. However, he’s more equipped to game-manage than truly shoulder the offensive load at this point.
