Matching up against a Minnesota Timberwolves team that finished among the top defensive units in the league last season, Buzelis consistently made them pay in transition with four emphatic dunks.
In fact, the Bulls’ first bucket of the night came on a two-handed, and-one slam by the 21-year-old. Afer Josh Giddey emerged from a pile with the ball, Buzelis sprinted up the court and was rewarded with the easy feed in the paint.

The Bulls’ forward caught the ball before halfcourt and only needed two dribbles to get to the rim and finish another two-handed highlight.

He took one big step into the paint and left his feet for the windmill. Adam Amin (welcome back) was excited.

Running alongside Dalen Terry, the Bulls’ swingman sent a perfect lob in Buzelis’ direction. He snatched it, let out a scream, and threw it down harder than any other jam tonight.

Not only is Matas Buzelis capable of creating some ridiculous highlights, but he is consistently making winning plays on both sides of the ball.
The breakout Year 2 many fans were hoping for could very well be on the horizon. Let’s see what he can do on opening night next week!
