BROCKPORT, N.Y. — Police say there is no threat to the community after a dead body was found Saturday afternoon off State Street in Brockport.
Brockport Police responded to a commercial-zoned area on State Street in the village for the report of a dead body found in an overgrown thicket. The body appear to be an adult male and appears to have been there for several days if not longer, according to Brockport Police.
Police said the investigation so far, with the help of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Technicians Unit and the Medical Examiner, has shown no signs of criminal behavior involved with the body.
The county Medical Examiner’s office will continue its investigation into cause of death and will try to identify the person who died.
